Heh, just noticed the chapter was out.
The monsters at the bottom of the sea were very creative and I liked Usopp's Green Star "Midoriboshi". I do have a question though: If the new fishman pirates recognize the achievements of the SH crew and compared it to what their hero did, why wouldn't they be able to overlook the fact that they crushed Arlong's "ambitions"? They also look much tougher than Arlong so we're in for some good fights in the near future. Can't wait to see the inside of the island next chapter, but I am curious as to why light shines down 10,000 meters below sea level. 5/5.
Hopefully Arlong will show up here and be more powerful so we can see an epic fight between him and new Luffy. In regards to what OP said below me, I noticed that at was and that may be very likely.
Just saw that Usopp was crying, so he isn't much manlier than he was before the timeskip.

good chapter, it may just be me but didn't one of van der dekken's crewmates look like he was wearing an Impel Down uniform. Van der dekken = Possible level 6? cause i mean where's the best place to hide besides 7000m beneath the ocean. Only question is how...
I'm thinking we'll go more in depth on arlong and jimbei's past in this arc because if not then we're left with giant plotholes ie; why were jimbei and arlong considered equals when luffy beat arlong and jimbei could've owned luffy with a finger back then. Also another question raised is why are all the fishmen seemingly split on how to treat luffy just because he defeated arlong who we all know is evil, i mean even jimbei was a little hesitant at first when he first ran into luffy.
So i think we're gonna see the return of arlong super-powered version. maybe he's like a high-influential person/prince/whatever on fishman island.
Maybe Arlong's not in jail like hacchi stated (since we've seen how hacchi doesn't want to try to involve the SHs in any of his problems) but is in fact back in his position causing chaos once again. This also would tie together since fishman island was in chaos before WB came in so maybe we get a nice little flashback to when WB came to fishman island and arlong fled to nami's island (we never found out the reason why yet) since he was afraid of WB and so we have a luffy vs. arlong( or nami vs. arlong ;P) re/match with an even stronger group in the shadows...or something along these lines

There's a saying in the OP forums which goes like this..."If a new unidentified character is wearing a hat, he must be Sabo!"...Yeah, take that Obitio/Tobi/Madara theorists!
Fuck SAnji on pg6. Thought he was serious their talking to Nami. That nosebleed had me
What's up Motherf*ckers?!...
Sanji was awesome this chapter ( " I'd rather die while giving perverted looks at mermaids" )
And looks like the majority of fishmen in general is evil towards humans, so from their POV Arlong was doing the right thing.
Now, it will be interesting to see how the SHs will be able a fight against the fishmen.

What a tease. Just at the damn gates of Fishamn Island.
Anyway, Usopp in action was neat, Surume is awesome, and those Sea Kings looked badass. Can't say the same for the new Fishman Pirates. It's also good to see the SH aknowledging that fighting underwater is meaningless, and the water pressure issue also being adressed.
Good chapter, but a lil too short. I hope next chapter will be packed full of awesomeness.
Also, just when I thought Sanji's nosebleeds were getting a little tiresome, he goes and says one of his best lines ever.
Such perverted epicness.
and after seeing hammond tattoes..i really wonder what is his connection with arlong?
Great chapter! I think it's been well-established that Fishmen and humans hate each other (Jimbei hinted at this, and stated it outright when he was talking about Fisher Tiger, also: Arlong), believing themselves to be superior. I think these "new" fishman pirates are probably the result of a revolt of some kind. Either way, I'm sure that Jimbei will be out of the power, and Luffy & Friends will have to help defeat these new pirates to return peace. I'll let Oda fill in the details.
Also, I loved that Oda gave us another Luffy = Roger moment: Refusing to be subordinates to anyone, even in the face of impossible odds/imminent death!!!
I'm curious how Oda is going to handle the "power levels" of the opponents.
Is it wrong to assume Jinbei is the strongest current fishman? Is it wrong to assume Arlong was one of the strongest? If so, isn't Luffy far above anyone at Fishman island at this point?
And Oda making even San Juan look small with all these undersea animals
The thing about the Power Levels is that Luffy and Zoro and maybe Sanji are already at the top. The point of the Time Skip was not so they would be strong enough for the New World, but so they could be Strong enough to not be stopped by the strongest fighters, such as the Admirals. Luffy already demonstrated that he was stronger than the Average New World Pirate at the Marine HQ. It would be stupid for them to go through the training and still not be strong enough. From here on out, the only people The SH fight are the strongest in the world. That includes the Fishmen. Also, if you remember Hachi said he was the best swordman from Fishman island. The only thing these guys have is that they are arrogant underwater.
I Love You!
Go Ussop! That was pretty cool, I have to say. I can't wait to see fishman island! Fisher Tiger must have been pretty stronger, I'm guessing more than 2x Jimbei.
