Speaking of Zetsu I'm trying to remember what abilities each half has...

White Zetsu:

- Seems to be the less mature Zetsu and less clever

- Uses the Spore chakra absorbing technique

- He uses the Byakugon like vision scouting jutsu

- Substitute clone jutsu (Kisame clone)

Black Zetsu:

- Serious and more intelligent

- ??? never seen him do anything tbh...

You must've missed a couple chapters. It's most likely the Kuchiyose Edo Tensei clone Kabutomaru made.

I don't know why I never looked at zetsu as the yin and yang before. But they are most likely based on those same concepts as well. Meaning the black zetsu is more intelligence, cause the yin is associated with spiritual, of the mind, intelligence, genjutsu.

So we may see spore genjutsu/paralysis or something. Zetsu seems to absorb not just chakra but the abilities of the shinobis he eats, least to some degree.

I bet it's the black one that does the recording also using genjutsu.

Zetsu was either a byproduct of Izanagi, most likely he's a failed experiment using Shodai's cells from early on. But yea, I agree, the Shodai clone is most likely the similar version to what zetsu did with Kisame but with actual Shodai cells so it's more permanent vessel.
