Well it's been far too long since this thread has been updated so with the North American Release Date out now I thought it'd be the perfect time to breath some new life into it. Comes out March 22nd much earlier than I expected. Official confimation here.

Was also able to score an early view of the trailer which wasn't supposed to come out until the 28th but got leaked anyway.

New characters look amazing so hopefully one of your favorites made it in. There's still a few more to go till March, and some old FF Vets hopefully notice the drag beating, morphing awesomeness which comes entailed from the end of the trailer courtesy of FFV.

Here's a not so short list of some of the features:
-New Storyline included with RPG World Map and customizable party
-Few new nifty stages
-New Assist system
-New Alternate Costumes
-Playable Chaos Storyline
-The original storyline is also unlocked afterwards and comes with the option to use the new RPG World Map
-All the levels of your fighters from the previous Dissidia can be downloaded right off the bat

And plenty more I'm sure.
If you missed out on the original and are a huge FF Fan this game is definitely for you. For you hardcore fans who did get the original I still say this looks like a fine purchase well worth the offer. Without a doubt a huge time sink.

Looks like if you buy the demo and beat it you can transfer over your save file to the original game. All it really does is unlock Aerith and she's an assist only character.

Also they just announced Yuna. Final Fantasy X Yuna. Summons galore.

I'm also super pumped Laguna is in this game. My main forever.

How are you going to be able to fight with all those leg cramps?

I'm really glad out of everybody they could've chosen for VIII Laguna got the nod, nobody else would have been as good.

I personally can't wait to use Gilga-Freakin-Mesh! Talk about a swerve. Hopefully he'll be the first Chaos warrior, he's more than enough to combat every single Cosmos warrior already confirmed and then some.

From the trailer I would say that Gilgamesh is going to be a neutral character that just hapened to cross dimensional rift and ended in the world game of dissidia, but who knows ? It's possible that he will be the version from XII as that one had the most copy weapons that apeared in dissidia.

Let's see, new characters are Tifa, Laguna, Lightning, Kain, Laguna, Gilgamesh, Vaan, Prishe, and Yuna. Everyone from the first Dissidia's gonna be in it. Cloud and Tidus are on Team Chaos while Jecht is on Team Cosmos. Everyone gets at least one new outfit, and there will be an overworld map that functions like FFXII's map, and you can see the enemies on the field.
