what if she was simply 'throwing' the paper? why woudl she take damage from it?

dats like if Kisame used a suiton technique and Itachi used a Katon technique why would either of them take damage? its' not like they are lobbying their bodies at each other directly they are using ninjutsu against each other.

If i throw a paper plane at you and you open a flame thrower to burn it down why would u assume that i'd be hit by the flames too? I could be very far away throwing that paper plane.

Maybe the piercing are of some chakra control or manipulation.
Pein could not possibly be the Fourth Hokage because
1st - He died from the shinigami jutsu from sealing the nine tails in Naruto [If he could survive then the 3rd could also, but he still die.]
2nd - Why the heck would he bother even to seal the nine tail into Naruto in the first place if he want to extract it from him.
3rd - If he never lose a battle, he can't be the fourth because he lose [draw] his battle against the nine tails demon fox.

1st - Oro survived the shinigami jutsu so maybe the Fourth could have also.
2nd - Perhaps to store it for later on
3rd - It doesn't have to be a lose since he defeated kyuubi and could still be alive(1st)

K-oz I was thinking they were 4th teammates as well but why would they have hidden rain forehead protectors? Well, at least Pein. If no one ever sees him... why wold he put a forehead protector of another village? He cant trick anyone if no one ever sees him.
