I think there is definatly a connection as to why because that essentially is the same form a full fusion.

Actually it takes me back to what was mentioned when the H-cube was first mentioned it stated that it was believed long ago that their existed a form that was both Hollow & Shingami.

This is probably what both Ichigo and Aizen have achieved...

So basically long ago there was a HollowShinigami Sage who had two sons, one receiving the hollow powers and the other gaining the shinigami powers and both of the sons and their descendants were locked in an eternal struggle.

Looking to be a sweet chapter. Can't wait. Aizen has become just way too damn strong, but I guess he'll need it for what he's planning on doing.
