1)Manipulate gravity
-Push objects (Shinra Tensei)
-Pull objects (Bansho Ten'in)
-Create Land masses (Chibaku Tensei, So6P created the Moon, and Nagato created the smaller one)
-Fly (As seen by God realm, he was drifting towards the top of Konoha and then hovering over Konoha)

• There is a time interval when using gravity manipulation. It's 5 seconds for a medium powered version of shinra Tensei and even more delay for a high powered version(One that destroyed Konoha). Unknown if it's related to users chakra reserves or standard.

2)Revive the dead (Gedou Rinne Tensei)

• It seems you can only revive those who have died recently.

• It hasn't been stated if there's a time interval, the mechanics of this jutsu is largely unknown. Tobi wanted Nagato to use this jutsu for an unknown purpose, if we knew this, this could help us understand the jutsu's limits.

3)Shape-shifting ability

• Nagato shaped-shifted living shinobi and the So6P is known to be able to reincarnate as other people throughout the ages, Nagato is the reincarnation of the So6P in this era.

• Also worth noting Pain shaped shifted a living sacrifice to copy Itachi, Itachi was able to use the sharingan but couldn't use any Mangekyo Sharingan techniques due the chakra Pain allocated to the Itachi's copy. Other than Edo tensei there aren't any other clone/transformation techniques able to use bloodline limits.

4)Able to summon the ancient summoning, Gedou Mazo
Tobi stated the So6P created a sealing technique to seal and split the Juubi's chakra, could this be it?

Abilities known:
- Is the origins of the Chakra Disruption Blades
- Able to absorb chakra and souls (Tailed beasts, shinobi etc..)
- Causes extreme damage to the user (During the Hanzo fight, Nagato became permanently paralyzed)

5)Affinities of all Nature manipulations and light/dark manipulations
Still need to train to use the elements but don't need to train as long and can you use strong jutsus in that element's field due to the affinity.

6)Can control people/summons with chakra
Very different to genjutsu, genjutsu attempts to regulate the opponents chakra flow to the brain to keep the target within the illusion created. Rinnegan users use their chakra to force control of their target's movements by overpowering their chakra of the entitle body (like being possessed).

Abilities known:
-Shared Rinnegan eye vision among the controlled.
-Nagato controlled the six pains and his summons with his chakra via Chakra Disruption Blades and tried to control Naruto, but Naruto overpowered it.
-So6P controlled the Juubi before he sealed it within himself.

• Nagato was limited to using one technique per controlled target, this may be Nagato's chakra reserve limitation or technique limitation.

• There's still a lot of mystery regarding the Rinnegan's degree of control. The big question being how did the So6p control the Juubi's movements in order to seal it within himself? It appears he controlled the Juubi without the Chakra Disruption Blades and this is assuming So6p's level of control is restricted to the target's movements like Nagato via the Chakra Disruption Blades.

-Awoken from a distressed situation like the Mangekyo Sharingan, but once activated the Rinnegan is permanent.

-Unknown effects/side effects, Madara implanted 1 of the 2 rinnegans he stole from nagato into his left eye socket.

Note: The key evidence we have at the moment to suggest all these are in fact rinnegan abilities is that most of these were in common with the So6P(No's 1,3,5,6,10). Also Konan told us the Rinnegan granted Nagato the techniques of all 6 six Pains (http://read.mangashare.com/Naruto/ch...9/page001.html). And finally once Madara implanted the rinnegan in his left eye he could have used the same mind reading ability Nagato used during the Konoha invasion on Yamato (http://read.mangashare.com/Naruto/ch...5/page010.html).

Sharingan

1) Slow-Mo vision
Able to witness high speed movement in a frame by frame fashion very similar to high speed cameras.
-Allows users faster reaction time to react during high speed exchanges
-Your body still needs to be able to move fast enough to take advantage of what your eyes see
-There is a speed limit before the Sharingan is unable to follow the motion with the slow-mo vision. Anything comparable to the forth hokage's raw speed is too fast
-There's a limit of many movements that can be processed(learned), for example the wind rasengan had too many wind blades striking Kakuzu for Kakashi to count

-Able to copy movements

• Providing the motion is within the speed limit the user via slow-mo vision has time to process(learn) the movements. For example hand seals, fighting style, lip reading...etc

• You still need the tools to execute, for example you will need a chakra affinity of an element if your trying to copy jutsus like the wind rasengan and chodri.

-Help predict movements

• With the help of faster reaction time via slow-mo vision and battle experience fighting your opponent you can to a degree predict future movements

2)See chakra surrounding bodies and areas(not natural energy though)

3)Mangekyo Sharingan
-With repeated use the eye's kaleidoscope will eventually lose its light resulting in permanent blindness. This is the price the user pays for being able to control the Kyuubi's mind to order it around via genjutsu.

Abilities known:
-Tsukuyomi

• A genjutsu technique, arguably the strongest genjutsu to date.

• Eye contact between the user and person/summon is required to initiate the technique

• Can be used on the Kyuubi, mechanics unknown.

• What separates this genjutsu from others is the time it takes to get into effect, it gets into effect in a matter of seconds.

• How powerful the technique is depends on the user, Itachi has used this technique best so far(don't forget Madara) as he was able to alter the perception of time and not just the surroundings within the illusion. Some strain on eyes is also apparent.

-Amaterasu

• A blaze(strong fire) technique, one of the strongest ninjutsu techniques.

• The blaze is hot as the sun and will not die out under any methods seen so far apart from sealing techniques, the technique if not tampered with will last 7 days and 7 nights.

• The flame is slow burning, this is the reason why even though the flame is so hot it doesn't melt targets instantly on contact.

• The technique is field of vision dependent, the opponents must be in the field of vision for the user to aim the flame accordingly.

• The degree of control is user dependent, Sasuke has manipulated the flame best so far(don't forget Madara), able to shape the blaze accordingly such as a shield.

• This technique causes great strain on the eyes causing them to bleed.

-Susanoo

• Using chakra and lifeforce energy(stamina) to materialize a spiritual humanoid being

• The spirit can be used for defensive and offensive purposes is quite powerful in both areas.

• Can regenerate its form from damage but at the expense of chakra and lifeforce energy

• The strain from this technique is extreme, the strain is not restricted to the eyes only but the entire body.

-Kamui

• A time-space technique, can wrap targets to another dimension the user must keep constant eye contact to aim accordingly.

• Unlike the other Mangekyo Sharingan techniques this doesn't strain the eyes, as eye sight isn't affected (Kahashi's accuracy improved with use, although this could be because Kakashi isn't a Uchiha).

• Chakra usage associated with the technique is enormous, the chakra used is proportional to the mass of the target.

Note: Unknown if related to Madara's wrap time-space technique.

4)Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan
Abilities known:
- No blindness associated when using Mangekyo Sharingan techniques.
- One unknown technique awakens.

5) User activation
-All forms of the sharingan can be activated/deactivated at will.
-Although the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan is described as a "permanent Mangekyo Sharingan" so it's unknown if it could be deactivated once awoken.

6) Transplant-ability to a foreign shinobi
-The Sharingan(1-3 tome) is activated permanently.
-Although the Mangekyo Sharingan can be activated/deactivated at will.

Note:Its seems different families within the Uchiha clan have different Mangekyo Sharingan techniques, will have to see what Madara's MS techniques are to be sure.

Byakugan

1) Enhanced eye vision

• Almost 360 degrees field of vision. Although it seems to be different amongst users, Neji can see up to 800 meters where Hinata can see up 10000 meters.

• Can see through solid objects, there are some rare high class barriers where it can't see through such as the Four Black Fog Battle Formation.

• Known blind spot, at the back of the neck above the third thoracic vertebra

2) Enhanced Chakra vision

-Can see the chakra circulation system inside another target and therefore allow you to see the tenketsu(361 holes,Width of a needle) and the 8 chakra gates(Controls the chakra flow to the tenketsu).

-Can see chakra with fine detail in either techniques OR in the chakra circulation system(Not natural energy)

• Able to distinguish between chakra via its color

• Able to distinguish fine changes in chakra within the chakra circulation system, this allows the user to distinguish between emotions(eg see if they are lying etc..) of a target and other external changes on target such as genjutsu.

• Able to see what the nature affinities of chakra

3) Gentle fist

• The user can either stop OR increase the chakra flow to the tenketsu, giving the user complete control over their opponent's chakra circulation system. This is similar to genjutsu, key differences are that this regulates chakra of the entile body physically while the genjutsu does it mentally to the brain only.

• User can attack internal organs, easily one of the scary sides of the Byakugan. Mind you this is the only method shown in the series to cause internal damage apart from poison, Deidara's C4 and Naruto's wind rasengan.

• The user can release chakra from any of their tenketsu as oppose to being restricted to the tenketsu on their hands and feet. This can be used in different ways such as the Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin (Ultimate defense). The user also covers that blind spot to evade any attacks to that area by releasing chakra in the same area.
  
  This seems to be the hardest area of the Byakugan to develop as only a some users are able to do this. Neji and Hinata's father have this ability, Hinata managed to find an alternative to using the tenketsu for her ultimate defense.

• Can use chakra to attack similar to frog fu (sage arts), I guess the major talking point here is their respective range of attack? Hinata gave us a glimpse of this when she attacked Pain and Neji has shown this numerous times at the start of part 2 and during part 1

-Can be activated/deactivated at will.

5) Transplant-ability to a foreign shinobi
-Able to activate/deactivate the eye at will.

Note:The Byakugan by far has greatest insight, nothing in the Naruto series can even compete with the Byakugan in that regard. It's a great master's tool due to it's insight with regards to chakra.

NOTE:Izanagi (Creation jutsu)

Madara revealed how Izanagi works.

• By administering imagination and spiritual energy which forms the basis of "YIN" power. He would create shape and form from nothingness.

• By administering vitality and the physical energy which forms basis of "YANG" power. He would breathe life into that form.

Izanagi has NO RELATION TO THE THREE EYES as this an advanced yin/yang bloodline limit of the so6p. This was evident when only shinobi(Danzo,Madara) with Uchiha(YIN power) AND Senju(YANG power) DNA were able to use this technique whom of which are descendants of the so6p's sons.

Known uses:
-So6p created the nine tailed beasts.
-Able to cast an illusion on oneself.

• When activated the caster removes the boundaries between reality and illusion with regards to themselves(only), to a degree this allows the user to control their own state of existence.

• How long the illusion stays in effect varies from eye to eye, one eyelid shuts permanently per use after illusion has finished its effect.

Rinnegan cannot be passed down to lower generations. Hence sharingan wins, because you can create an army full of them...

and besites the sharingan originally belonged with the Jyuubi.

Def the Rinnegan however I think if I could chose I'd pick the Sharingan since in that flashback it looked like the rinnegan messed him up after using it, they didn't go into why he started looking frail/etc (it may had been lack of training and he was pulling the power out, but who knows).

The sharingan isn't as strong, but its strong enough in its first form to be mastered relatively easy + a decisive battle technique, not to mention its basically a cheat because u can copy all techs used in front of you (aside from elemental ones)

yea, like i said though, its not much of a option in terms of which is dominant, however i mean I'd still prefer the sharingan, since its first form doesn't have any ill effects and its still useful enough to be used in jonin-class fights, its basically a good way to get a foot in the door while at the same time reg training can bridge the gap.
