Well being a Captain doesn't mean that you have pride it just means that you have a pirate ship and a crew of people weaker than you e.g Wapol.
And i'm pretty sure that if he were able to get a hold of news that he would already know about Luffy seeing as he is a Supernova and it would make no diffence that Ace gave his life for him because he has risked it b4 for him

and who is saying if sasbo is a slave he does not allready know about luffy its very possible and even wapol had some pride and the point is if some one saves you you feel like you know them it does not matter that luffy was once weaker than him cuz its very likely that he is not any more

I don't think that Sabo is a slave at alll but all i'm saying is that there are certain holes in this.
Well Wapol ran as soon as trouble came so that isn't really pride.

well fisher was a fish man and did not like humans so i doubt it would have been permited and i know there are whole but lets agree to dissagree ok cuz we do have some what of a point here to
