Anyone seen or heard of this game? It's made by Rockstar, one of my favorite developers (makers of GTA series). Basically, it's GTA set in the Wild West.

Had my eye on this game for a while. Looks epic although Im very worried about the targetting assist that looks similar to the horrible one in GTA 4. Multiplayer looks gold renewal worthy.

Ok I have to ask is this game as good as they say as I'm not really a fan of the Wild West themes but from what I see this game looks and sounds pretty amazing.

It follows the open style gaming of GTA and Fallout which I love so I may have to check it out.

.. well, if you really don't like WW at all or didn't even like the the WW movies, then it going to be a hard decission to make. It's true that the sound, graphics look pretty amazing, but you have to like the WW for being fully entertained by the game. Rockstar has always been great in story telling, but they said that they got inspired from movies of Clint Eastwood and John Wayn.

- if you're a sandbox fan and you wanna taste something different then GTA / Far Cry 2, then believe me; buy the game. It's far better then GTA.. you can do everything you want in this game + the multi player is just too good. You can play a multiplayer mod with 4 friends hunting the bad guys all together for example or instead of capturing the flag, in RDR you have to steal a bag of gold etc..

- also, they put a lot time in how people are getting shot; the realistic way how the enemy falls down to the ground, when someone shoots you from close-range, long- range, with which gun your being shot at. Every little detail is top-notch in this game.

Exactly my sentiments...I couldn't stand the GTA IV gunplay and am hesitant about Red Dead. I went with Alan Wake instead

From watching the Youtube clip of it I'm definitely playing this one. The graphics, music and gameplay look awesome!
Though, to be honest, the man character is a bit too Clint Eastwood-y for my tastes. XD

this game is amazing, I highly recommend it. the deadeye targeting is badass, kinda similar to VATS from Fallout 3. there's a wide variety of things to do (story mode, bounty hunting, challenges, side missions, gang hideouts etc). this game is worth buying solely for the singleplayer. add that to the incredible multiplayer, and this game becomes a must-buy.
