anyways, glad Gin's bankai is at least fast. Speed of sound is 768 mph (1236 kph), so his bankai's speed at 500 times the speed of sound is 384,000 mph (618,000 kph). That equates to 171.7 kilometers per second, so if his bankai's reach is 13 kilometers, then it can cover that distance in 0.075 seconds.

Would've been funny if the bankai traveled at 10 mph, Gin would be like, "just wait it's coming, don't move from that spot"

Sounds like a cool chapter, only because Urahara shows up. Now its on! I wish Kubo would let us know whether Onahana is healing everybody or not. We never got to see what happened to Kensei either.

Now, what's an even more interesting question, can Ichigo MATCH this speed with his bankai? We know it makes him extraordinarily fast, but maybe this will finally put him to test.

While fallen, and looking up into the air, Rangiku sees the smoke from the crumbling buildings and she thinks of Gin

Gin: What the... ya really are... an unpleasant child. How scary. Maybe this time I should give ya a proper punishment.... and make yo suffer too.
そういって刀を構えるギンの刀は脇差しほどの長さに縮まってる。
While saying this, Gin readies his sword by contracting it to a wakizashi's length.
一護「！？」（今いつの間に刀を縮めた？何かを気をとられて見逃したのか？）
Ichigo: !? (Just now, when did he contract the sword? How did I miss that?)
（いや俺はずっとあいつの刀から意識を外してねぇ　あんな長さの伸縮を見逃すはずが━）
(No, the entire time I've been trying to get out of his katana's range. I overlooked how flexible the lengthening of the sword is.)
ギン「さて　しかしどうしたもんやろねぇ　ボクの卍解はあっさり止められてもうたし━普通に戦 うしかないん やろか」
Gin: Well then. how am I gonna do this, eh... My bankai is too easily stopped, do you think I just fight normally like this?
一護に飛び込み、もの凄い速さで太刀を浴びせるギンとそれを刀で防いでいく一護
He charges toward Ichigo, and with incredible speed it becomes a long sword that Ichigo had to defend against
ギン「たいした刀やね　斬り込んでるこっちのんが折れてしまいそうやわ」
Gin: Quite the katana, eh. It looks like it can break while I'm attacking
一護「よく言うぜ　じゃあさっさと折れちまえよ！」（俺の考えが正しかったら　こいつは今刀を 縮めただけで 卍解は解いてねえ）
Ichigo: If that's true, then I can break it as easily as you said! (If I guess right, when his sword contracts is the only time his bankai is vulnerable)
（俺の考えが正しかったら切っ先をこっちに向けさせたら終わりだ！！）
(And if I'm thinking right, if the tip of the sword points here, then it's all over!!)
刀をはじくとギンが急に距離をとる。その瞬間ギンの刀が一瞬で伸び一護の左肩を掠める。
Then with a flick, Gin suddenly lengthens the sword. For that instant, Gin's sword lengthens over a great distance and hits Ichigo's left shoulder.
そのまま振り下ろすギン、一護がかわして距離を詰めて切りかかるがまた脇差しほどになった刀で 防がれる。
Then, Gin swings downward, Ichigo dodges and shortens the distance and again, the wakizashi form defends against him
ギン、また距離をとって伸ばした刀を振り下ろすと近くの建物に飛び乗る。
Again, Gin swings downward with a long sword and jumps onto a nearby building.
一護「・・・思ったとおりだあんたの卍解の能力ｆｒ一番怖えエのは長さでも破壊力でもねえ　伸 縮の速度だ」
Ichigo: ... Just as I thought, your Bankai's scariest ability isn't the amount of destruction you can inflict, it's the speed of your sword's expansion and contraction.
「考えたんだよ　事前に長さを俺に教える意味はねえ　黙ってたほうがあんたに有利だ」
I was thinking about it. The distance you told me beforehand doesn't mean a thing. You might as well have stayed quiet and still have the advantage.
「わざわざ剣を降り回して街中を真っ二つにする意味はねえ　そのまま斬りかかったほうがあんた に有利だ」
Specially, if your sword is something that can slice an entire town in half, even that didn't mean a thing either. As it is, even with that, you had the advantage
「それをわざわざやってみせたのは　伸縮の速度から俺の意識を外させるためだ　違うかよ！？」
And with that, you even made sure to show me all of that, but that was all for the sake of distracting me away from realizing the speed of your sword's contraction and expansion. Isn't that right?!
ギン「・・・いやあ」（・・・たった一回の打ち込みでそれに気づいて二回目でそれをかわすかあ 　怖い　怖い 　これはまだ伸びるなぁ）
Gin: .... Oh my. (... and with only one shot, he already noticed, with the second he was already able to parry it. How scary, how scary. And I've yet to play it out~)
（せやけどまだ　まだや）「バレたらしゃあない　教えといたげるわ神殺鎗の伸びる速さ」
(I could go no but, not yet not yet) Oh, you've found out, well nothin' I can do bout that, like you thought, it's Kamishiniyari's lengthening speed
一護の前で手の平をパンと打ち鳴らすギン
In front of Ichigo, Gin claps the palm of his hand
ギン「・・・届いた？今の五百倍や　神殺鎗は最長の斬魄刀やない　最速の斬魄刀　知ったところ で勝ちの目は 無いで」
Gin: .... You got that? Just now, that was 500 times. Kamishiniyari isn't the longest sword. It's the fastest. Now that you know, victory was never yours to begin with.
再び戦うところで場面転換
Once again, the scene changes to another battle.
一心と愛染。一心が優勢の様子。
Isshin and Aizen. Isshin looks like he has the upper hand.
一心「どうしたよ　動きがニブくなってんじゃねえか　もう限界か？」
Isshin: What now. Your movement's gone really sluggish. Is that your limit already?
愛染「・・・ああどうやらそうらしい　限界が訪れたのだ　死神としての私に」
Aizen: ... Ah, now what am I gonna have to do about that. This is indeed my limit. My shinigami self, that is.
一心「・・・何？」
Isshin:... what?
愛染「魂が　組み換わる」
Aizen: well, better change my spirit, then
一心「・・・何を言ってんだ？」
Isshin: ...What the hell are you talking about?
愛染「漸く萌玉の意志が私の心を理解し始めたようだ」
Aizen: Well, little by little, the Hougyoku's consciousness has reached my heart.
