Kind of surprised that no one actually seem to agree with me or even slightly noticed that Aizen did, yes I theorized this many months ago, and this very well explains Aizen's interest in Ichigo. I am not surprised reading this at all and I am glad my only preduction of this manga is right XD

What POW mentioned about Aizen being Ichigo's half-brother is kinda interesting. They don't look alike at all though so I don't think so. Regardless, this has obviously to do with the Soul King's Key and its nature. We don't know about anything more than it requires a hell lot of souls to create it. I am expecting an explanation next chapter as to what the Soul King's Key truly is.

I couldnt agree more, and indeed, the old fart needs to die...else Bleach is really turning into some corny shit that everyone gets to be resurrected/ u only die after uve shown ur bankai.

I also think there's gonna be a major plot twist, there must be a reason why he was checkin up on Ichigo's progression/didnt use hollowfication on himself/embedded the hougyoku within himself.

Aizen's too overpowered to be funny...

At this rate, the only way he'll lose is by technicality.
ie: all of soul society giving their reatsu to ichigo who does one massive strike... while all of soul society is chanting "we believe!"

One example: How could he control which way Ichigo would take when they broke into SS? he could also go the way Chad took, or Ishida and Orihime.
It would be a gamble whether he would fight with Kenpachi or not.

Or how could Aizen provoke Ishida to compete with Ichigo? I don't think he could control Ishida's actions.
