Lots of people this Buddha was a "god" but he really isn't, he was just a being who reached unlightenment and complete understanding of life, he escaped the wheel of rebirth and moved on from here lol, there have been many Buddhas in the past, you guys should try reading a book sometime ;P

He is called Sengoku "The Strategist" not Buddha if the manga translation is accurate. Anyway the way he morph into a giant is actually leeching the idea from a religion.

On page 4 of Chapter 234 he is introduced as Sengoku "Dai Buddha".

Edit: Exact translation may vary depending on translation, but the "Buddha" part remains the same, whether or not he is introduced as "Sengoku 'The Buddha'" or in another way
