It's called foreshadowing since Jiraiya's basically finished, and Naruto has matured. It's about time he died. The only reason he wouldn't would be if kishimoto can't find the balls to do it again.

Pein is out there, the rain jutsu, these bodies appearing. Makes you wonder what he fights like. I do support the different bodies having different jutsu theory though.

Those bodys are peins body he has more then one, he can do body transfer like innoue. Those are any of the other memebers would be usless since he can clone his members,

I think that those are the bodies of dead people with different special abilities that Pain has collected. Then he can transfer his conciousness into them as and when he needs to. Then the machines would be used to keep all of the bodies alive. Sort of like Orochichi's jutsu but better...which mean Pain could be really REALLY old.
