I really don't know if they are necessary, my computer says that they are important updates..so i think they are necessary.

Smash the F8 key on your keyboard until you get a prompt asking you to do that.

Sometimes the OS won't allow some actions in safe mode, but if it does, it's a good way to apply fixes and things.

I tried HB's method, and it did nothing. I remember messing with the safe mode thing a while back(around 7 months ago), back when i got my laptop, BUT, now i can't remember how to access that. ^^"

You have to do it while you're booting up. Do it when you see the bios screen. Sounds like to me tho you dont have a legit version. Re download it.

How bout this. Turn PC off completely. Now turn it back on, AND immediately start tapping on F8. Don't stop tapping until you see a screen giving you choices like:

Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command line

Last known good configuration.

If you choose (Using up/down arrows) Safe Mode with Networking, you'll be able to access internet within Safe Mode.
