Fullmetal Alchemist, simply the best story in shounen, and almost no clichés
One Piece, the most epic, fantastic storytelling, great sense of humor
Hunter x Hunter, old school shounen with very original twists
Fairy Tail, in this top 5 for giving the readers what they want: FUN. fast story progression, and still enough intrigue
Kekkaishi or Eyeshield 21, both are great, and I'm inclined to put Eyeshield on top, but Kekkaishi still has so much potential after only 10 volumes.

Not sure if all of these are Shonen but I think so

1. Bleach - Best so far. No comments, just my thing. Manga is really exciting!
2. Naruto - First anime I ever watched, really great until the fillers and shipuuden. Manga is still all ok though.
3. Inuyasha - Didn't see whole of it, watched until like mid 80 then it was hard to find a good tracker to download from...
4. Shaman King - Haven't seen whole of it, though the end was really touching.
5. Dragon ballz - Read the manga, was ok ^_^
