Judging, without images, the 'breaking' of Tousen's mask is the forming of the second form. If you recall, the last time Ichigo used his mask, it was the same as his 'second form', minus horns.

As to why the Vizard don't, or wouldn't have that sort of advantage. . . No idea.

Though I'm starting to think Yama-Ji planned to lose here from the start.

As for Shinji's Shikai, I doubt he'd have something that capable of beating Aizen all this time. Otherwise, he would have probably just had the Vizard help him kill him while Aizen was a Captain.

No one. Not even I said it did.

However, the spoiler said parts of the mask were 'falling off', and unless anyone has images, I imagine the mouth has more to it than just being an air slot, and I doubt Tousen would go through the trouble of having a mask if he had touble maintaining it. I was saying that in his first form, the mask had no real powers. But the change - Like Ichigo's horns - provide more power and a special ability.

And it makes sense because a ressurreccion is a dynamic form change when everyone else does it.

Oh, and this chapter would seem to fix the decharacterization of Tousen in the previous chapter. Though I still don't see the character as logical or likable.

There may be something else to Komamura's bankai. Must be. It just seems one-dimensional (and not too impressive at that) and has too many obvious weaknesses at this point.

Very interesting chapter, now I just want to read it! Ichigo's mask became more organic in form and shape throughout the storyline, but I am not sure if the same can be applied to Tousen.

Strangely enough I am expecting some weird deus ex machina here to resolve the plot, but I don't feel it will be bad. Maybe it will be Ichigo fighting Tousen after Komamura's defeat? That would be kind of badass, I admit.

i still dont like tozen but there is no way that komamura can win now unless he have some others powers not revealed yet i cant wait to see shinjis release but aizen will pawn him anyway
