    Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Man oh man I can not wait for this game one of my favorite series of all time and IMO the best most balanced shooters.

    - This game is shaping up to be amazing as you can do more than just blow holes in buildings now you can literally bring the whole building crashing down.

    - We also get a new transport choppers so we can move players on the battlefield quickly. A total of 15 vehicles will be available land, sea and air.

    - They have reduced the number of classes to 4 but probably give more weapon variation

    Release date: March 2, 2010

Battlefield Bad Company™ 2 brings the spectacular Battlefield gameplay to the forefront of next-gen consoles and PC - featuring best-in-class vehicular combat set across a wide range of huge sandbox maps each with a different tactical focus.

New vehicles like the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and the UH-60 transport helicopter allow for all-new multiplayer tactics in the warzone, extensive fine-tuning ensures that this will be the most realistic vehicle combat experience to date.

Tactical destruction is taken to new heights with the updated DICE ‘Frostbite’ engine. Players can now take down entire buildings or create their own vantage points by blasting holes through cover, thereby delivering a unique dynamic experience in every match.

Players can also compete in 4-player teams in 2 exclusive squad-only game modes, fighting together to unlock exclusive team awards and achievements. Spawn on your squad to get straight into the action, and use gadgets such as the tracer dart in-conjunction with the RPG to devastating effect.

Excellence in the battlefield is rewarded with an extensive range of pins, insignias and stars to unlock along with 50 dedicated ranks to achieve.

Variety also extends into the range of customizable kits weapons and vehicles available. With 4 distinct character classes, and weapons, gadgets and specializations players have over 15000 kit variations to discover and master players will be able to fine-tune their preferred fighting style to give them the edge in combat.

All of these features combine to deliver spectacular and unpredictable action moments found nowhere else in a modern warfare experience.

The game also sees the return of the B Company squad in a more mature and intense single player experience where the stakes are higher than ever.

I've played the beta, and it was really good. The map is HUGE, and there are a lot of things going on. Snipers are awesome in this game.

Wish they had early demos for the PS3 this game is on my wish list right next to Final Fantasy 13.

I just hope this doesnt lag because of all the detail and size and destructible environment.

Red Faction also had the destruction element but the maps where tiny and only a few people on at time.

Damn I'm so excited about this game probably even more than FF13 which I cant believe I'm saying as I have always placed FF on the highest standing.

There's an open beta going on so why not try to get a code from the net? I got three codes and gave it to my friends. I'm not sure if they use it.

Well now that I have played it for a few days I can write my basic review.

POW Bad company 2 Beta Review:

    - Anyone thinking this is going to be the same as BC1 with shinier graphics and you can just jump into after playing the first is in for a rude surprise.

This is a new game with a change of so many features its gonna take time to re learn how it all works.

    1) Controls:

First thing you will notice is they changed my G#d d#mn controls!

    - The buttons are all different but its not necessarily a bad thing but it throws you off first time playing after playing BC1 for so long. Almost made me scream wtf as changing weapons is now done the thru the left and right control pad not the R2 & L2 buttons.

    - Also vehicle controls have changed as well now you accelerate by pressing up on the analog buttons not the R1 or L1.

    2) Classes and Unlocks :

    - OK before you can go running around you have to choose your class which have been made a little more variable but with fewer classes down to 4 classes which are Assault , Specialist , Recon & Medic. ( names may be a bit off for some but close enough)

    - While there are fewer classes they are far more variable weapons and gear and support skills you can use. You dont buy weapons like in BC1 but unlock them by using different weapons and skills in game successfully.

    - Also some weapons can be used by any class once unlocked like the tracking gun used to mark enemy vehicles with a homing signals for missiles.

    - Also the addition of skills/perks has been added and work similarly as they do in games like Call of duty: MW adding accuracy to your bullets or more protection to your vest etc.

    - Vehicles also receive these perks so you can add armor or senors and the ability to pop smoke ( I think as i have not unlocked smoke on tanks but have seen it done)

    - Also I have seen people use parachutes like in the original Battlefield 1942 so assume this is also a perk you can unlock.

    3) Realism :

    - Ok so now you choose you class and know the controls are different time to run full speed and ram into some bad guys just like the good old days of BC1 right?

    - Wrong!!! This game is very deadly in that the weapons are more accurate, faster and just plain more deadly.

    - You cant just run full speed and dodge bullets by bunny hoping. The realism is closer to call of duty in that you have to duck and cover and think before sticking your pretty little head out or pay the price!!!

    - The old days of sneaking up on a tanks easily dodging their fire is over. Even the gun turrets on the tanks can shoot thru concrete walls and kill you. You don't even want to know about the main cannon fire.....forget about it!

    4) Team work:

This game has much heavier emphasis on team work than the first. Medics can bring people back to life with paddles an infinte number times and throw down heal packs 2 at a time max that don't disappear but heal any team mates that walk by them for a few mins before vanishing.

    - Assault class now supply ammo dispensers as there is no more ammo crates on the battlefield. Same as with med-packs they can throw them down and anyone who gets close is resupplied.

    - Sniper/scouts still have sensors and the demo class and specialty class are fused into one so you start off with missile launchers and sub machine guns. However the Assault and Medic are the two most important classes as without them its very hard to work as a group and move up.

    - You also get a mini helicopter drone that can target areas from the sky for a missile strike that comes in handy for taking down tanks.

    - One of the best new features is an upgrade where in the old bc1 you could spawn near a team mate but it was always a random team mate and it was always the one idiot in the middle of a hail of bullets and grenades. Well now you can choose which squad mate you wish to spawn with which adds more dynamic to the strategy.

    5) The conclusion:

Well overall once you get past the learning curve you can really get into the game which is very well put together. This is the kind of game you can only really do well in if you have great team work as everyone trying to run off on their own will simply fail.

The experienced players will pick off the noobies like ducks in a barrel with their more advanced perks and weapons. However they can get the hang of things by sticking close to team mates and remember to always stay under cover whether it be rock or a wall.

There is enough variety with the weapons and abilities you can choose with classes that you don't feel to limited or bored with any you choose. Althou I tend to change class depending on the situation and side of attack and defend I'm on.

If this is only a sample of whats to come I can wait this is going to be an amazing game one people will be playing for years to come with even more vehicles available and possibly new modes of play and other fun surprises.

    Battlefield Bad Company 2

I love playing this game because it is one of the best first person shooters. But this game is not perfect and this is why I opened this thread. I want you to post here what would you like from a Battlefield: Bad Company update? This game is great, but it definately could use some improvements. Ive made a list of some of the things that I would like to see in an update:

    - the ability to go prone
    - shorter respawn times
    - cod4 style prestige ranks
    - the ability to pick and choose awards youve achieved to put on your soldiers uniform awards being trophies, patches, and wildcards. Of course there would have to be a set limit or else people would just load up their entire uniform with colourful patches...actually that would look awesome...ok no set amount.

Those are just a few things I would like to see in an update. What about you guys, what do you want to see in a Bad Company update?

    Can't wait, I don't like MW2.

1: If you find a good camping spot you can win the game by that.
2: I hate Akimbo shotguns, seriously. When my knife is actually starting to penetrate his face, he panic shoots in front of him, killing me and everything behind.
3: The 13049 different heli's, airplanes, turrets etc is driving me insane.

But still, it's a good game - but BC2 will be better!

Don't like the game all that much so far. While playing the beta it just wasn't fun like the last one. I don't know, I think I need to play it some more but MW2 is kind of addictive.
