I actually really enjoyed this chapter, I thought it was very exciting. Plus it was long!

Can't wait to see what Natsu can do now, not to mention Wendy, loved how Gerard told her that she too is also a Dragon and that she needs to release that inner force.

yea this chapter is quiet good.
Sure it was another 'power up' again with natsu but it was a legitimate one this time. Unlike that one during the tower of paradise eating the etherion, that one was silly imo. So, after this is over gerard will probably join fairy tail.

Yeah I liked the power-up too. It was given to him and explained and everything so its not like Natsu himself became more powerful, its just a temporary thing. Can't wait to see Wendy with scales and see her dragon force.

Im predicting that when the two of them start fighting there gonna resonate or call out to each other and become even more powerful.

Sigh. At least it was quite better than the previous we've had on this arc.

Man do I miss Mistgun. I have lost track of how many different version's of Gerad are just out there walking around.(My guess one for each dragon slayer and each with a corresponding specialization i.e Holy, Dark, Sleep and now Fire) But Mistgun is the version who was cool, competent, strong and humble. Also his character really shines through with this line.

How sad that he never got to show his true potential and got put on a bus
Instead we got Gerad why I can't remember oh shucks made Eliza cry wait not my fault, hmm cant remember if I'm good or not. I say kill em all. This type of ambiguity really detracts from the flow and stagnates other characters (i.e. I can't attack Gerad he might be really good....I think ....so lets trust him) No doubt this eventually peter out to nothing never to be referenced again.

Tldr: Too many ambiguous Gerads

The chapter was half/half for me.


The power-up was inevitable... So even though i don't like it, i expected it. It looked pretty cool, though i find it sad gerard gets a flame out of nowhere to power up natsu.. I doubt this fight will last long.

On the other hand, i can't wait to see wendy use her power of air to destroy the crystal! ^^

Best thing about this chapter was natsu looking like an actual badass, and no heel face turn for gerad it seems
