I think that I would prefer a new spirit for the main character, since we already have seen Amidamaru many times in action. Then again the thought that Yoh has switched to Masamune now, which is technically a stronger spirit, is quite appealing (unless he is still using the guardian of the earth which would be quite strange ;p).

I wonder what does it mean for Hana's current predicament.

Does this mean that Anna and Yoh might be dead ? No, that can't be right, they are still kids in here, while we already saw them as adults later on, unless the story was rewritten... So, if Yoh can still use the Spirit of Earth, does this mean that the rest of the gang is using other elemental king spirits ?
