I'd rather use the brush tool, but I'm not sure if it's good scanlating practice. The burn tool has never failed me on spots like that, though.

Heres a little guide i did for myself, copying from the scanlating video

1)Ruler tool, the one side ---->Image-->rotate canvas--->arbiatiry--->angle 0,18
2)Cropping tool-->Mark the hole image ---> fix the edges etc
3)Image ---->Mode---->RGB colour
4)Duplicate layer from the list
5)Filter-->Blur--->Surface blur----Set 18/10
6)Filter---->Topaz labs------>Topaz denoise--->Noise suppression 1,15--> Blur reduct 0,25
7)Background copy right click---->Duplicate layer---> Set colour burn--->Opacity 20
8)Image---->Adjustements---->Levels--->Set 179 right---->Set 91 left
9)Background copy 2 right click----->merge down
10)Image---->adjustements---->182 right---->81 left
11)Use Brush
12)''Create a new adjustement layer''--->levels ----> right set 121
13)Use brush
14)Image--->image size---->Height 1200, resolution 72
15)Create a new adjustement layer-->levels--> left 131
16)Create a new layer---->Pull layer 1 over

I'm stuck there, what comes next? And there is something wrong there i'm happy for suggestings

You can tell you're screwing up when things start to look pixelated instead of round and smooth.

Because it's annoying with the pop ups and not being able to see the full size image in one click.

You are done now, with the precleaning. What's left to do is treating details, like faded white lines, separating speedlines (sometimes they have dust inbetween that makes them look thick, use the line tool to fix that), erasing the text (on the layer where you erased dusts), and bordering the page.

This method of scanlating is from the previous century, you're better off looking for updated methods.
