Romantic Anime

Lately I have become a sucker for romance, especially after watching Planetes ( I highly recommend this anime). I searched the forum for romantic anime ideas and found some nice ones (like Nodaime Cantabile). But I would like some more.

Honey and Clover, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Ef a tale of memories, Ef a tale of Melodies..... Freedom.... *thinks*

Although not much can top planetes

I would say romantically speaking Nodame is right up their with Planetes.

Does Honey and Clover anime have a different ending than the dorama? Because the dorama was all romance and the ending was meh.

Other romance.... hmm, well I love the soppy romance in the key anime like Kanon (2006), Clannad and Air, they have some really sad scenes too.

Oh, Itazura na Kiss, I'm almost certain you'll adore it, very sweet romance that starts from a one sided crush.

You could also try True Tears and KimiKiss although alot of people were dissapointed with the way they ended (I liked the endings for them myself).

Hmm, lastly, not really a romance but more the anime in general has a very romantic and poetic way of telling a story, There's no way whatsoever you wouldn't like this anime, Natsume Yuujinchou.

I'm gonna back up what Sangaz said and recommend Clannad. It's the best romance I've ever seen. There are a lot of sad moments though.

Toradora but I hated the last few episodes. If you don't mind manga, then I recommend Bitter Virgin.

CLANNAD is totally worth watching.

And I'd also recommend Bokura ga Ita for romance anime. The art is horrible, but once you get used to it, the story's quite sweet and the OP is catchy and pretty =3
