Well, I found out the problem while taking a look t it...The little spiral-stick-thingy that the scanner eye is connected to looks a little bit faded...Would this be a problen that could be repaired, or is this something that's basically irreparable? And if it IS fixable, how much are we talkin' here?

PSP doesn't really have that many games even worth buying.

Dude, just go to a repair shop. Bring like 20 bucks with you and if they say no then go hack it like Tatsukai said.

ChickHen and the 5.03gen run in the PSP's memory instead of the internal flash. Normal cfw is permanently written to the flash space. With a 3000. Since it's ran in the memory and dumps itself every time you shut your PSP down, you have to activate it everytime you turn it on. . . I think 5.03gen-a has an autostart feature to remedy that. . .

I have a hacked 2000 and have only needed to use a umd once. A game called DJ Max Portable CE. It had a feature to add and receive content from other games in the series. That doesn't work with isos/csos unless there is a umd in the drive.

And to answer your question, Sony would be the ones to ask. Expect to pay at least shipping and handling. . .

Okay, I fixed the problem(turns out it was the scanner all along, it spun itself out of synch with the little spiral-ridged stick thingy that makes it move and scan, so I put it closer to the middle, and it worked), so this thread is now snake legs. Mods feel free to close it w/e...
