    PSP-3000 issue...

My PSP isn't scanning my games anymore. I can hear the disc whirring around inside the PSP, so I know it's not a matter of blockage(also proved by trying out all of my games and my movie with the same results). And all of my other PSP functions work fine(internet, etc.), so what could the problem be?

Do you have umd auto-start on? If not, turn it on and power off your psp. Next put the umd in and then power on. . . No idea if this works. . .

Not to sound negative, but while you're under warranty you're just better off calling tech support.

    Sounds like a laser problem.

That reminds me of the PS1 I used to own. After a while, it just stopped reading games and movies. The disc would spin and that's it. I ended up opening it up (warranty had already expired) and adjusting the distance between the laser and the disc tray (had to turn a white gear if I remember correctly). Fixed the problem (looked it up online).

    Currently Reading:
Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Gantz, Medaka Box, Beelzebub, Soul Eater, Claymore, Ao no Exorcist

Hmm...laser...Now that you mention it, the scenner-eye-thingy hadn't moved whenever I turned the psp on(obviously before the whole situation happenef), and I noticed it whenever I put a new game in. If that's the case, how could I fix this issue?

Move the laser as far to right as possible with a pin or toothpick. . .

You could also get it repaired, if you don't want to risk ruining your PSP. If it's still inside the warranty period, do as HB said, else, look over the web to find people who can fix it for you for 20 bucks, or so.
