MA is a perfectly good site for reviews. Yes some of them you're not going to agree with, I just read two 0% reviews for Dopethrone. Are they wrong? Yes, these people clearly don't like doom, doesn't mean the site is bad.

As to the OP, I play Guitar and Drums, and play in a couple of bands. My personal style is techy stuff, think Fellsilent, Periphery, Sikth, etc.

Guitar on and off my whole life, admittedly an overwhelming majority of that time has been off. Dabbled with the piano briefly and still use a keyboard to fiddle with things. When I was a bairn I was desperate to learn how to play the saxophone, I think mostly just because they look awesome to be honest, never even touched one to date though, ach well.

About those trumpets, I never actually got the chance to try one. But I do wonder how you change the notes with the way you blow in one. Sounds difficult. =P

You don't just blow into a trumpet, you buzz. And by changing your mouth shape you change the notes. I played the trumpet for about five years. Wish I could go back, but my situation doesn't really allow it.

Trumpet is beast, I was playing it in my school's band up until recently. When I went to boarding school mid year however there was next to no music program at the school. There were no brass instruments whatsoever in the jazz band. Just drums, guitars, and few other miscellaneous things. Wasn't the same to me, so I just stopped.

i fiddled around with a sax before, its not as hard as people hype it to be but it is difficult, takes time to master.

It took me years of hard graft, but I've gotten to the point where I have an infallible solution to the above problem that works one hundred percent (Guaranteed!): Tune it.
