Well, Castlevania 64 was like this...As was Lament of Innocence, and Curse of Darkness...So, Patrick Stewart's gonna be a VA for this game, eh? Interesting...

Castlevania 64 was god awful.

Castlevania isn't Castlevania if it's not in two dimensions.

I can see what you mean, but imo I think CoD and LoI were pretty decent. Hell, the two for the N64 were good!

This isnt really Castlevania for me. In fact(well according to a reliable resource*cough*wikipedia*cough*) it originally wasnt Castlevania at all! Anyway, this game's premise already makes me feel as if this is going to be a mediocre game. Im highly skeptical of all 3d brawlers, and comparing your game to God of war right off the bat is just pretentious imo, which to me almost makes certain that this game will fail hard.

haha funny you mention that Aside form that god awful 64 version I havent played a real Castlebvania since the old NES days.

Csv2 - rpg element made it fun for me and Csv3 ability to have extra characters you can play as.

I always loved the music in CSV even tho it was 8-bit it was really well done so I wonder if its still as good as it use to be.

I dont mind the transition to 3-D maybe it will be for the better but in my memory few games could piss me off and make me almost really throw the controller at the screen like 2-D Castlevania oops you missed the jump start all the way over sht.

Story looks like it could be good & having Patrick Stewart awsome vocals is a bonus/ It kind of reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus.

I'd rather see a 2D game with beautiful, fluid animations and rich, vibrant, pseudo-3D backgrounds.

I grew up on Castlevania. To me, it just wouldn't feel right if it isn't in 2D.

Granted, it may prove to be an excellent game. But will it be Castlevania?

To me, probably not. But I'll still give this game a chance
