Ofcourse he was fooling around, he wanted the fight to go on and not end it right away and thats why he didnt one shot him with Kendo at the start.

You can call it stupid if you want, but thats pretty much how every fight with every character goes, they dont use a "killing" ability/power straight away.

I for one think this is an Unfair matchup to begin with ... All of you that are saying Ulquiorra would win are just speculating a lob sided Battle ... It's like Saying who wins between Ichigo and Chad.... IT'S UN-EVEN!. The point is Kenpachi hasn't even Learned his Shikai Attack or Bankai yet and I'm pretty sure if he had one he would Throw Ulquiorra out the window in less then a second ... But that's not the point so , Ulquiorra wins i guess.

its hard to say.....you cant judge zarakis strenght in this manga, if he fights an opponent he always wins in a cool way slashing everything and being slashes laughing, ust like with noittora, so if kubo were to set him up vs ulquiorra he would have probably trashed him too, but technically seems to me ulquiorra is like 50 times stronger than noittora so dunno
