Went camping/moteling at the Boundary Waters last weekend. My brother fell into the lake.

My older sister goes to fish somewhere else to try her luck, I say okay and walk a bit to the other end of the dock to look at the fish in the shallows.

My little brother and his friend's little sister are kicking a tubing thing that's tied to the dock. The little girl is holding onto a ladder that goes off the dock for swimmers.

I hear a huge splash and I think, "Is that a fish? That's a pretty large fish..."

(Apparently at this time, my sister over there yelled at me "AHH! GO GET HIM!" but I didn't hear her)

So I look back and I only see the little girl on the dock. I run over (because by this time I've figured out he fell in) and scan the water but I don't see anybody! Now I'm thinking "Oh my word he fell in" and I'm getting ready to jump in after him but then I look to the side and he's grabbing the side of the dock rather pathetically. So I drag him out and he's soaked....My sister runs over and gets him back to our motel.

Apparently the little girl's dad also heard the plunk and ran over, preparing to take off his shirt and jump in. (when I hear this, I think, "SUPERMAN TO THE RESCUE")

Yeah, so what happened was my brother forgot to hold the ladder thing while kicking the tube -_-
