    7.
Windows 7 runs WoW and other games I've tried better than XP did on the same machine, it's more secure, looks nice, feels snappier and more responsive, has a nice new taskbar and a ton of other features.
    So I vote for 7.

    Thanks to Ravona for sig.

I like them both. Vista is better designed (taking a few tips from Mac OS X).

I have 2 vista laptops, and one XP desktop, and I find them equally as good. Thought, Vista is nicer to look at and it's easy to set up and figure everything out.

If you're using a lot of old software/hardware stick to XP and switch to Vista once those programs get support, or you ditch them. Otherwise, Vista should already be better with the updates.

Hmm I really don't see why ppl hate Vista??

My computer has vista and runs real good, like when I 1st bought my comp, then again I have almost nothing in it cause I don't really use it, but my hp laptop runs vista as well and its packed with high school projects and tons of music in my windows media player and in my i-tunes and like I said, it runs goooood

If your computer is good enough for vista then wait until windows 7 is out and get that. You can always disable the annoying notifications with some minimal knowledge you can get in a google search.

I dual-boot but I've always used XP more. Vista is kinda just a novelty to me now. But I think they both have their ups & downs,

No. Vista is gay with all the user rights and copyright protection stuff.

You cannot edit anything in windows.... it is blocked. So say you want to edit a game start up to make it run without a CD, you cant in Vista; but you can in XP.

I have Vista and its pretty good if your a n00b, but I prefer XP.
