I need to wipe my mac clean.

I received a mac from my friend a couple of months ago. I wanted to start from square one and just wipe the whole thing clean. I find out that I need a start up disc in order to do that. But I'm not in the position to go out and get one at the moment. Is there a program I can download?

You can go through the hard drive and uninstall/delete what you don't want.

Dude the startup disks are.... somewhere. And I'm not quite sure you actually want to completely reinstall the system. But talk to my dad, I ran across both of them as we were packing up. I'll give him a call, though it might be better just to delete what you don't need.

what makes PC's better then Mac's? Theyre both computers only they have a different operating system.

I dont see anything sucky on either sides, the only thing that's really different are the controls actually.

Im not taking side of any operating system though as theyre both fine as they are.
