    It was also given that boa hancock was alive only cos she was close to luffy.........
    So fr her to stay alive she has to join Luffy's crew right?

    It wasn't exactly that. It was because the person the previous princess fell in love with never returned her feelings. The difference between her and Boa Hancock is that Boa misinterpreted one of Luffy's gestures to mean "I love you" when he was really saying "Thank you" or something like that. So with that in Boa's head, she'll more than likely get by on that alone.

    every ship has its own disgrace, said ivankov. i believe that's the most correct answer. maybe he was a big promise, like shanks, but he didn't develop his potential, and stayed behind shank.
