I was thinking the same thing.
So, here is something Random.... After seeing the newest trailer to Movie 10: Strong World, I noticed that Robin and Franky spend a lot with eachother. Not on the ship but when the Strawhats are split up, they are usually together.

Another thing. Zoro is the only character in the whole series with a family name and never have any family ever mentioned.

Indeed, I brought the issue of zoro's sur name on this forum years ago...


I'm almost positive well see a family member of his or two before the show is over.

And the Robin/franky thing...I Can't really explain that at all :/

Maybe Oda supports Robin x Franky. Anyway, the purpose that I had in mind when I created this thread, was to consolidate all the simple question threads in one place. Things like questions on whether there is religion in OP, or whether Zoro's family was ever mentioned are perfect. Random theory's that do not pretain to a previously asked question are not.

Yeah One Piece is riddled with different references to actual pirates and whatnot, not too much of a surprise.
