Spoiler!As I am sure most of you are aware, there is a global economic downturn. Due to Mangashare/Binktopia not taking donations we have solely relied on our ads and our advertisers dollar to keep Mangashare/Binktopia a float.
As our advertisers are affected by the slowing times, so are we. Due to this we have been forced to scale back some of our staff and features.
Binktopia while a large part of Mangashare, and a long time partner will have to lose its direct downloads here at Mangashare. The bandwidth costs are surpassing the gain in ad revenue they bring. Binktopia will now be releasing it's chapters on Rapidshare only.
Due to staff constraints, we have had to lay off 43.6% of the Moderators, due to this we will be closing the Naruto section until further notice due to the large amount of time needed from the staff. Shonen Manga will remain open for your Naruto discussion needs, but at a scaled back volume.
Lastly due to the insane amount of bandwidth and the little value they add to the forum experience. We are scaling back the available smilies to the original happy face, sad face
, and angry face
. Hopefully this will reduce costs enough to manage.
We are sorry to any who will be displeased by our downsizing of bandwidth expenditures. These changes will take effect April 2nd 2009.

holy crap! man...i knew that the economic downfall has affected us, but never to this extent!? I better stock up on smileys before they become scarce. (cowers in fear of April 2 -_-)

It's just a coincidence that this was told on April Fool's.
Everybody is gonna pass it off as a joke, but come April 2nd and on, they'll realize how true this is.

Well, even if it is true, it can't be that bad. No Naruto section if it happens. :3 I'm sure we could live without it.
