if your looking to make it like the original colors you can always print your finished colored copy in black and white the computer will turn it to greyscale and you can compare with the original picture.
of course you can't get it Exact but it would be close.

Hehehe... I actually knew this before entering the class. Currently at the class now, and he's teaching this.
Anyway... now that look at the picture here on this screen, the jewelry is not so bright. It all depends on you monitor settings. In my computer most of them didn't look bright besides the bracelet.
Here it is a revised version. I'm testing it on print, but the guy's fleshtone comes out too dark, so I might light that up a bit.
The new version looks good and I agree with you that you should lighten up the tone of his flesh some.

BTW, the lady's eye was adjusted and now it looks better. Awesome indeed.
