Why did the 4th trap the Kyuubi in Naruto?

I've been wondering this question for a very long time, why did the 4th trap the Kyuubi in Naruto instead of trapping it in himself and let the Shinigami drag both of them into his stomach. I personally think it maybe because the biju's are are an important part of the Naruto world and by removing one there is some sort of disruption in the balance of the Naruto world.

I think is just cause like any other shinobi nation the power of the bijuu, controled properly, is a major plus. They all just have a different way of putting them in a host body. 4th probably thought his way would probably harm the host very little while, because of the leaks in the seal, give him a power up once his and kyuubi chakra began to properly fuse.

well, if the 4th did that there wont be any story to tell...

and even if there is, the manga/anime name will be Sasuke. not Naruto.

i think he trapped kyuubi in naruto's body in order to have control over kyuubi

it's obvious aint it? look at the first manga chapter or episode, the kyuubi his foots were more than 10times bigger than those enormous trees, he would fit in no ones stomach..

That reasoning makes no sense, your saying he wouldn't fit in the Shinigami's stomach yet he fits in Naruto.

maybe the 4th wanted Naruto to know that he was his father by leaving a mark before he died sealing the kyubii

This is perhaps one of the more senseless threads....I mean, you're asking a question that brings the very manga/anime into question. It is so far to the right in the B.S. speculation spectrum that I am finding it difficult to be serious. If it doesn't stay on topic (re: no more arguing whether or not the Kyuubi would fit in person "X"'s stomach), then it will be closed and dumped.
