Gear 2nd is activated by pumping his legs making the blood flow faster
& Gear 3rd is activated by blowing air through his bones

whatever, i think gaza-pirate has a really good idea
i don't really have a concept of what i guess gear 4th or whatever next thing he's gonna do is, but i guess it'll have something to do with haki

well originally i was thinking that luffy would contract all the muscle tissue in his body making them more firm because he is rubber it will be possible for him to contract all his muscles allowing him to activate his denser gear fourth

I personally think since Luffy currently takes on the properties of vulcanized rubber, he'd start farting and burping a lot to release the sulfur crosslinks between the polymer chains of his rubber body, so he starts taking on the properties of natural rubber. After that if he used Gear 2nd in combination with it, it'd heat up his body so he becomes soft like a Logia user.

I have said that before & I'll said again:
There is no Gear 4 for luffy, all he needs to learn how to use Haki & to learn Rokushiki(六式, Six Styles) & combined the 2 together.

yeah it would be just stupid if always his new powerup was another gear.

Gear is Luffy's trademark and Gear 4th would be epic but i dont think that we will be able to predict what it will be like.

making himself more dense is a good idea but he doesnt need to be more dense... being dense wont help him against tough Logia's...

Gear 4th will probably have something to do with Haki... if Luffy does get a better understanding of it and learn to harness and control it; he could possibly cover his entire body with it creating a Haki cloak then he could use his gomu gomu no mi attacks to its full extent; thus creating Gear 4th

has it ever occured to people that Gear 4th could just be a normal/rubber Luffy using Haki... not this densified version of himself, partially transforming body parts into objects/weapons

Luffy doesnt need that (yet)... what he does need is to control and harness his Haki

^then it wouldn't be called a gear fourth. It will be just "Luffy using haki". Gears are techniques that push Luffy's DF to it's full potential and limit so a gear fourth should involved his df.
