    What age you started reading manga?

    As the title says, when you started reading manga? What's your first manga? Really bloody/teenage/adult ones(eg. Naruto, Bleach...) or (Can't really think of an example now, about cooking or Doraemon?)? Who introduced you to manga? Why?

    I started reading manga when I was about 8. My first manga are the kids-friendly/educational ones (might be Doraemon or Shonen Jump kids friendly version that kind of magazine).

    God, I don't even remember . . . I want to say the first manga was Ranma 1/2, but I cannot remember how I got into Ranma. I know they had the books in MediaPlay, but I don't know what made me want to buy it and read it. I was young though, before 13.

    Having grown up in America, it took me years to notice manga even existed. Once I hit 17, I was waiting for "Adult Swim" to come on, and I saw this Naruto show. I thought it was kind of interesting being a ninja who could shoot fireballs and stuff. So, I watched all the episodes on youtube and animeepisodes, and then I these "manga" things. I was skeptical at first, but after watching some of grandhalo's post, I read all the naruto manga. Lol.. in a matter of days. Then I did it again because it was so fun.

    Manga = better than anime

    yup, you're right...

    i first liked to watch all kinds of anime, but somehow i can't seem to really complete what i'm watching anymore, though reading manga doesn't get boring..

    there are just alot of anime's that get too boring after a few episodes... and than i quit them, reading the manga doesn't get me bored..

    and, most of them that i quit watching sucked compared to the manga...

    Uhm... I remember buying Crayon Shin-chan mangas when I was 8 or 9 years old, but I didn't even know what 'manga' was...

    After that, it was when I was 11 (if I remember right) that I started buying CCS, SD, Naruto...

    I was 10 or 11, when I watched "Sailor Moon" on German television and decided to draw mangas. Therefore I went ervery day to the library and spent the whole day there to draw some pictures with the Sailor Moon mangas. I didn't read them all, because they were boring ~_~
