    A manga? airing? If it is first anime then it would probably be Gundam Wing or Guyver. Manga (excluding the mainstream 3) would probably be D. Gray Man or Tsubasa Chronicles.

    I don't like to buy them, unless it's already completed and compiled into one book. English translation of course, and by complete I mean, having all the chapters and extras.

    My first manga was 'Death Note'. I got hooked into the first 10 episodes of the anime and I couldn't wait a week for the next episode so I read all the manga in like 2 days. First manga I bought was 'Full Metal Alchemist', loved the anime and I saw the first 15 volumes at a anime convention...I just couldn't resist!
