I agree with your theory, but the problem is, what is Kenichi gonna do with Koukin, now that Apachai is in severe danger of death.

We all know that he has the power to kill Koukin, so this would be the ultimate test for his Katsui-Ken.

IDK what the other Masters will do if Apachai would die!

My theory is maybe Appa used the same move aggard used to kill that dude in the flashback. Ya know that timed death?
But maybe it was a timed attack meant to cripple Aggard like his his spine making him unable to walk.

I think Kenichi would assume Apachai died and go apeshit on Koukin. Yes he'll struggle whether to kill Koukin out of anger or would still follow his Katsui-ken.
