No, he was just that good. There was not much to discover
about the others. They were simply running for their lives trying to get out alive.
If he was analyzing anything (Considering how powerful he is on his own) He wouldn't have used Hachibi, and he wouldn't get soloed by Ameterasu. But him being reckless and a show-off thought; 'Hey why don't I just go 8 tail on their asses'.
