After rewatching it, she really was in Hell Butterfly form.Quote:
Butterfly form? Since when can Shinigami turn into butterflies? I thought it was just a hell butterfly that came in through the window, then Rukia came afterwards. Hell Butterflies is what ppl use in Soul Society as cameras.

Uhh I don't think so. Rukia sent a Hell Butterfly into the room to see if there was anything and if it was safe to enter. Then she popped into the window. The butterfly didn't turn into Rukia.
I knew she stepped through the wall!
Ichigo is looking over to the right of his bed, and the window is to the left.

Ok, so maybe you are right. I just watched the episode again in slow-mo. Shinigami CAN walk through walls, but the part about her turning into a butterfly is just wrong. This explains a LOT of things, thanks man! I can't believe I didn't notice that. So much info. in the first episode. However, this brings a whole lot of new questions, like why didn't the wandering souls who are running from Hollows walk through walls to get away?
