im pretty sure we havent seen all of what the rinnegan can do, so for now i'll have to go with MS. if one guy gets caught in tsukiyomi, do all the other bodies get affected as well? if the other bodies arent, then tsukiyomi is useless kuz the other 5 can just direct their chakra away from the head and the stuff jiraiya explained to naruto about dispelling genjutsu. other then that, i dont see how rinnegan can counter amateratsu, and also as the fight goes on and on, sharingan will catch on how to fight multiple bodies and how they move and etc. so i'd have to go with sharingan.
just because he's the leader it doesnt make his rinnegan stronger than itachis MSQuote:

for example, if kimimaro fought sasuke when he was young and won, it doesnt make his kekkai genkai (bone pulse or something?) stronger than his sharingan.
As far as I saw, the MS is for me way better.
It has an unescapable genjutsu and a uber Amaterasu wich can burn everything.
Let's not forget the "normal" Sharingan, wich can copy every jutsu...
As mentioned already the Rinnegan with the bodies, elements & no blind spots...that's not enough to impress me =P

I'd love to see the "fat Pein" absorbing Amaterasu,lol.
right now until i see what the Rinnegan can do, imma have to say the Mangenkyo Sharingan. That could change quickly though.
Sharingan its Kishi's favorite (Dou)jutsu. For now MS has better Nin/Gen jutsu's (Kakashi's,Tsukyomi and Amaterasu). But i don't think Rinnegan showed his full potential. Maybe Rinnegan will get better but for now i say Mangekyou Sharingan.
This is almost as ridiculous as the 9-tails vs Pein thread.
We haven't seen anything from the Rinnengan, other than the ability for Pein to see through all 6 bodies.
well techniquely rinnegan is the strongest doujutsu....

rinnegan is supposed to be the strongest as of now at least but chances are sharingan is the strongest. from what we've seen from sharingan and it's abilities it's most probable that the sharingan will end up to be the strongest.Quote:

And you forgot that Obito (Madara or whoever he really is) is someone special.
Even Jiraiya thought that Kyuubi might be summoned by Uchiha Madara, the only person who's been able to do a summon like that.
But if Madara is really that strong, I wonder how the 1st Hokage could defeat him :D
