I've only seen the anime and I've started watching it about a month ago. I finished watching it just under a month ago. Yeah... I was hooked! I've seen the entire thing now and I for me personally, I'd rate that as the best anime ever released to date. I didn't quite fully like the ending (I'd like to have seen Near in a similar situation as Mello), but everything else was pretty amazing. This is definitely an anime worthy of praise. Actually I watched the movie before reading the manga. After watching the movie, I didn't really like the manga for some reason; maybe coz they didn't fit? Especially after volume 8(?) the plot seemed pretty erm, boring (sorry..) , so I didn't continue from there.

Death Note is an awesome series, also the movies are good to.

I thought that the jap actors were great and chio(?), only the ending in part 2 was retarded (Although honestly I like how they wrapped up the story so easily, to me that is).
I thought the movies were good, the series just's explains more. I like both.
the movie cut the manga in half then ended it. i didn't like it.
