Still, give it a try. It's uncensored... hehehe I just didn't like the part where their clothes magically appear around their body. You can see that in the first scene. If my memory serves me right, there's nothing like that in the manga. Probably, I was just expecting too much. Also a matter of opinion. I say, give it a try.

rape and how intense and graphic it was that went on for 10 or more chapters throughout the series, and that is the last thing I hear of. It doesn't seem like they really get back to the big fights or more direct plot, they were dealing with in the first place. Do they?

There weren't any rape scenes at all but there were sexual assaults and attempted rape and it kinda sets the reader up for the epicness of the hero saving the day. Well, it isn't as graphic as Wolfguy, Shamo, and Icchi the Killer. It's more, more tone down. And the actions are really played out well. There might some long setting up chapters like almost all seinen mangas are then an outburst of action follows. You'll never really know till you read it. Try reading the first half, if you don't like it... then you can just easily drop it... But I believe you'll be missing something if you don't read it. Just my opinion.

Oh no I did start reading it long ago, until about chapter 35-38, (I forget which), where they were all basically just getting massacred by the enemies new abilities, and I started to see the 1st signs of

stuff about to happen, like I mentioned. So I just wasn't eager or put no effort into trying to read it. I am asking more so because I normally like a series because of what they 1st bring to the table, and if they completely change at some point, than it's normally unnecessary to keep reading this "new version" of the manga. From some spoilers I read, there's no real end to them so far in the manga which is about up to chapter 60 something instead of where the english translators are. Just wondering at what point the sexual assaults/ flashbacks stop and they get back to a good deal of what was in the beginning of the manga.

I think it's kinda unfair to base your conclusion on some spoilers you've "read." So for your sake and for everyone who can't wait for the English translation. I give you the Chinese raw spoilers from chapter 46 to chapter 66:

Oh man he got his butt kicked i hope he gets atleast 1 hit in. didn't realize the clean-groups were so far behind the series but ill wait also.

I quit reading this after chapter 43 I think it was (whenever the little brother came in her room) - after that chapter I looked up what would happen during the Arc (since its Korean I think and this Arc is completed, just isn't up in english) and I was sure that Kazuya would man the fuck up and do something.. which he doesn't ... if anyone knows what will happen during this Arc then thats basically why I quit reading, serious I know Kazuya is a bitch but common... after he gets his ass beat by the little brother he doesn't do crap..

I don't mind 'weak' protagonists, however Kazuya is pathetic, no wonder they made it into a anime, they needed to bring fans in after people dropped it after this Arc.

You would never see any male protagonist act the way he does in this situation, hell you'd never see a real guy act like it either - its a let down.. and for me a deal breaker.
