Massive 9.0 magnitude EarthQuake hits Japan

It's still not over, now theres a Tsunami warnings. Hope people can find a safe place to stay.

its really sad and really not good the us has already started mobilizing the military stationed on japan so at least we are starting to help as much as we can.

Holyshit! I hope my peeps from Japan alright man! Like dot.com mention yeah we got some members in the forums living there too. Xioaxiao resides in the navy branch hopefully his boat didnt capsize along with other ones. This is crazy I'm going to Hawaii in the Summer hope it's still there or at least nothing happens when we get there. Yo the live coverage of the Tsunami , damn nature you scary.

Is the wave still rolling by? Like Estimated time when it will hit Hawaii ? West Coast? Australia and so on?

Yo that's crazy, but wasn't the earth Quake a 8.9? When did this Earth Quake happen around the time Roku posted this thread? If so I'm guessing the waves have already hit hawaii and either hit West Coast already or about too? Would the Tsunami pick up after a long distance or would they decline in power?

Hawaii is already feeling the effects but the highest wave was about 2.8m. Some large waves are happening on the US coast but no casualties so far since they had enough time to put evacuation measures in place.

*sighs* This is so surreal.

yeah so far the last reports i saw was just property damage on the U.S. side of things. and do not for get about the nuke plant in japan keep your eyes on that mess.

Japan scrambles to avert radiation crisis at nuclear plant

(Reuters) - Thousands of residents were evacuated from an area around a nuclear plant in quake-hit Japan after radiation levels rose in the reactor, but there was no word on whether there had actually been a leak.

Underscoring grave concerns about the Fukushima plant some 240 km (150 miles) north of Tokyo, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the U.S. air force had delivered coolant to avert a rise in the temperature of the facility's nuclear rods.

Tokyo Electric Power Co said pressure inside a reactor at its Fukushima-Daiichi plant rose after the cooling system was knocked out by the earthquake, the largest on record in Japan.

Kyodo news agency quoted the company as saying that the radiation level was rising in the turbine building and the pressure had risen to 1.5 times the designed capacity.

Experts said there could be leakage if water levels in the Fukushima reactor fell and the temperature of the nuclear rods rose, though this might not happen immediately.
