Orochimaru... if he wanted Immortality so bad why didn't he study Hidan and his cult? There must be a deeper reason on why he wants Sasuke and his Eyes. I feel like Orochimaru can turn out to be the final villain still... heck he might attempt to takeover Madara's Body. Orochimaru's Body is now made out of Zetsu/Senju Cells... so that should be a power boost to him regardless.
He couldn't be killed, but he probably was not immortal (is there even such a thing in narutoverse?). In the first place for his immortality to remain, he needed to do certain things periodically and other things after battles, so the moment that he had neglected those, he would probably die, or his immortality would simply run out. His body would still probably need energy to move for the long run, so he still would need his heart, lungs and other organs, as well as food and water, unless he got a different system to transport and produce energy. Hidan was also an adult, so unless he entered the cult after reaching adulthood, he also was getting older, thus he had a limited life span, even if he couldn't be killed.

Yeah i kind of figured Hidan still aged, but that he could not be killed in battle. So eventually he would have gotten old and died naturally, as his god only protected him as long as he performed the worship of him during battle.
Or else there would be a whole bunch of those guys running around with immortality.
seems like if Naruto is to end soon then there will still be some mystery left in the story. With all the pages dedicated to taking down Madara I don't think there'll be much left over for ol' snake eyes but seeing as Kishi specifically had Sasuke ask about his real motives in attacking the leaf there has to at least be one panel that sheds more light on his true motives. Otherwise we could just as easily assume that his reasons were the same or similar to Sasuke's reasons for wanting to destroy Konoha.
Well Hidan's Incomplete Immortality should of been a stepping zone for Orochimaru. Then again Orochimaru can steal bodies....
