Everyone is now a Senior Member

Suddenly I've noticed that everyone has the title "Senior Member." Those who I saw go beyond Senior Member a long time ago have now gone back to being Senior Members, and a few new members are senior members even though they shouldn't be yet. It doesn't seem to effect everyone but it still seems to effect most of the people who post in the General Manga/Anime Discussions. Even if this doesn't really change much its still rather strange and makes the fun of the title system go away. It should really be fixed.

It is related to anti spam measures.

Ah, I see, that makes sense. That's fine then.

A couple days ago I reported a Spammer who had these attributes:

1) Post count = 32

2) Join Date = Same date as first post = Same day I reported him

3) Membership = Senior Member.


Apparently he Joined that same day, and he immediately spammed 32 posts, and his 32 post count made him a senior member. All on the day he joined. (My memory being imperfect, this is how I recalled it.)

He was removed fro MS that same day thankfully.

Yeah it's far from ideal paulbee, but at least the massive spam thread creation is stopped at the moment. We're trying solutions that are possible with the power we have.
