Btw, on that last comment on your font for 'Men' being really big, in my opinion, the bigger the better, especially for cuts that connect or from people who are really strong in spirit (like Saya?).
In actual Kendo, your cut is awarded by several factors. The precision of your cut, the confidence in the cut, the follow through and the spirit exhibited while making a cut. Therefore screaming the name of your cut is not rare, and if you actually watched a Shiai (spar), the shouting can get pretty intense.
